Continue reading »]]> This year Heavy Vehicles Australia, the exclusive distributor of King Long buses in Australia, is going to display examples from the full King Long Australian range at the BAV conference in Melbourne on 2^nd and 3^rd July.

4 vehicles will be displayed, the 6102 (10.2m) Midi Coach, the 6126 (12.5m) School/Charter bus, the NEW 6122 (12m) Low Floor city bus and the NEW 6180 (18m) articulated Low Floor city bus.

The King Long 6102 (10.2m) Midi Coach, continues the distinctive King Long design, offering 45 fixed seat belted seats, 250 Hp E5 Cummins engine, ZF Auto transmission, Coachair air conditioning plus reversing camera, automatic fire suppression system and much more. A show special price will be offered for the vehicle displayed during the conference. The King Long Midi Coach range also includes the 6900 (9m) 35 seat version.

The NEW King Long 6126 (12.5m) School/Charter bus, available bodied on various OEM chassis. This bus comes with up to 61 seat belted seats of your choice, Coachair air conditioning, a range of coach features, reversing camera, automatic fire suppression system and much more.

The NEW King Long 6122 (12m) Low Floor city bus, bodied on various OEM chassis, the show bus presents our new improved look and a range of features including Thoreb Multiplexing system and Mobitec Desto signs. The bus will be touring QLD and NSW after the BAV, so please register your interest with us during the conference if you would like to test drive the New 6122 Low Floor bus.

 The NEW 6180 (18m) Low Floor articulate bus, available bodied on various OEM chassis, The displayed bus is built on an MAN A24 chassis and joins existing King Long vehicles in the Skybus fleet, operating between Melbourne Tullamarine airport and Southern Cross Station. With new styling and many custom features, this new model is truly an impressive unit.

Continue reading »]]> Kathy & Jeff Barton are QBIC operators in Gympie. Kathy became aware of SCIC during her own battle with bowel cancer. Now in remission, Kathy and Jeff continue to volunteer and raise money to help other families undergoing treatment. When Kathy shared her story with David Tape, he was more than happy to put his own butt on the line!

Your favourite QBIC Executive Director David Tape, has pledged to ride from Murgon to Tin Can Bay (an average of 80km per day) in an effort to raise money to support SCIC. So far he has managed to raise $2000 but would like to raise a lot more.

This money will be used to: purchase equipment & comfort items, equip waiting areas and to build units for use by chemo patients, family and carers whilst patients are undergoing chemo treatment at hospital or recovering.

David Muleta joins us in the role of Parts Specialist, replacing Eddy Vanderstadt who has gone on an extended round Australia trip with his family. David has experience in parts sales as well as sourcing and is a great addition to the team as we expand the range of parts and accessories available to our customers.

Vince Richards joins us as Service Specialist. A qualified and experienced heavy vehicle mechanic, Vince has extensive knowledge in service and support having worked with MAN, Volvo and Mercedes Benz in technical and advisory roles.

Both David and Vince are friendly professional guys whose presence is already being felt, and we look forward to having them on the team for many years to come.

In his new role Anthony will help build stronger relationships with key customers and suppliers, and also provide greater support to our Regional Sales Managers around the country.

Anthony joined HVA in 2010 with significant experience in sales in engineering and technical industries, including Scania.

The expansion of our sales team is another step in the development of the HVA organization as we continue to build and offer stronger support to the market.

Anthony’s promotion creates an opportunity to appoint a new person to his previous role as Regional Sales Manager Victoria / Tasmania, and we look forward to announcing that appointment in the future.

Continue reading »]]> King Long attends BUSWORLD Kortrijk 2011 this month, with 5 models on display in the largest exhibition booth of 600 SQM;  the display includes a luxury tourist bus, city bus and new suburban bus.

King Long, was the first manufacturer  to develop export business in Chinese bus industry, beginning in 2000. They entered the EU market in 2005 and were awarded the “Grand BAAV Award – Bus builder of the year”. With 7 models now approved to WVTA (EU standard) by end of 2010 and additional 2 new models in 2011, King Long will export more than 500 buses to EU market in 2011.
