Kathy & Jeff Barton are QBIC operators in Gympie. Kathy became aware of SCIC during her own battle with bowel cancer. Now in remission, Kathy and Jeff continue to volunteer and raise money to help other families undergoing treatment. When Kathy shared her story with David Tape, he was more than happy to put his own butt on the line!
Your favourite QBIC Executive Director David Tape, has pledged to ride from Murgon to Tin Can Bay (an average of 80km per day) in an effort to raise money to support SCIC. So far he has managed to raise $2000 but would like to raise a lot more.
This money will be used to: purchase equipment & comfort items, equip waiting areas and to build units for use by chemo patients, family and carers whilst patients are undergoing chemo treatment at hospital or recovering.
